WYBSA participates in four summer baseball leagues and one summer softball league. An evaluation is held during the spring season to place players on appropriate teams. WYBSA tries to have all players who are interested in summer baseball placed on a team. This is only possible if we have coaches for all team.

Hockomock Baseball and Softball League (A-Team)
This is a more competitive team that plays in the Hockomock league and participates in the Cal Ripken & Babe Ruth Tournaments. Teams are for ages 9 - 15. The season runs from June to early August. League games are played during the week nights and tournament games are played on the weekend. This league requires a strong time commitment from the players and parents.

Hockomock Baseball League(B-Team)
The Hockomock league has added an additional division to their summer baseball program. The season runs from June to early August.  Leagaue games are played during the week nights. For this division we will have 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14/15s teams.   This league requires a strong time commitment from players and parents, but not as much as the A-Team.  These teams rarely participate in tournaments

Barnstorm Baseball League
This is a summer recreational league playing surrounding towns. Teams are for ages 9 - 12 with a 9/10 team and 11/12 team. The games are played during the week nights and there are typically no weekend games. Players are encouraged to attend practices.

7 and 8 Yr Old Leagues
Friendship League
Open to 8 year olds (based on the April 30th birthdate cutoff defined by USA Baseball).

Our Summer 8s participate in the Foxboro Division of the Friendship League.  The Friendship League is a terrific introduction to competitive, travel baseball and offers organized kid pitch baseball with umpires.  Games are played on weekdays, with the season starting in late June.  Teams play to qualify for an end of season playoff tournament held in late July-early August, and typically play around 10-12 games (regular season & playoffs).  Teams will enter into at least one weekend tournament in June/July, beyond the Friendship League, which could add another 3 to 10 games to the season schedule.

The weekly commitment includes a combination of games and practices (typically 2 games per week and 1 practice).  Players are expected at all games or practices for the duration season with the exception illness, injury, or limited vacation.  Practice will begin in May and games continue through July. Playoffs for the Friendship League can run into early August if the team advances to the championship game.  League games are played weeknights only, however, practices may be held on the weekends.

The number and makeup of the 8 year old Friendship League teams depends on the turnout and ability demonstrated at evaluations.  The players will be selected and notified after evaluations. Any players not selected are eligible for the 7 and 8-yr old Inter-Town League as summarized below.

7 and 8 Inter-Town League (Wrentham and Norfolk)
Open to 7 and 8 year olds (any kids that played instructional 7 or instructional 8 baseball this season)

The inter-town league plays a 10 game schedule that starts in late June and ends in late July.  There are 2 games per week for 5 weeks with no (or limited) practices.  Games are played on weekdays at fields in both Wrentham and Norfolk.  There are no playoffs for this league.  The attendance requirement is not as strict for this league and it is understood if kids need to miss a few games.  The rules are a blend of the current Instructional 7 and 8 league rules.

The number of teams entered in the Inter-Town league depends on the number of registrations.  Last year, Norfolk entered 2 teams and Wrentham entered 2 teams.  There are no evaluations held for this team – interested players should just register at the appropriate time.
