Eyes, Nose, Toes, Throws. Use some simple rhyming to help you players position themselves to make a good throw. The player should be looking at person they are throwing to. In additiona, their nose (head) and toes (feet/body) should also be pointing at the person they are throwing to. This is a great thing to teach at the beginning of the season. If they later make a mistake you can ask them to recite Eyes, Nose, Toes, Throws and they will correct themselves when they realize what they forgot.
Learning Bases
Learning the bases maybe one of the hardest tasks for the T-Ball player. There are couple of things you can do as a coach to make it easier. At the beginning of the season take your players on a run from home around the bases and back home again. Play follow the leader where each of kids follows what you do. When you get to first base jump on it and say "first base" and have your players follow continue through the remain bases. Later on in the season play Simon Says and have the players quickly shift between all the bases. Simon says...go to second base and so on.
