2010 U10 Hockomock League Champions!
Wrentham Wild Win Hockomock Championship

The Wrentham Wild U10 summer softball team completed an outstanding season by winning the Hockomock Championship in a nail-biter beating Franklin 2-1 in the finals.  It was a classic pitcher dual with Colleen Cooke hurling a beauty in the victory for the Wild.
The Wild were trailing 1-0 heading into the bottom of the 6th with just one at bat to pull out the victory. Emma Durant started the inning by working a walk. She advanced to second on an infield hit by Jackie Gorman. Elizabeth Romsey then worked the count to 3-2 before ripping a gap shot to right-center field scoring both runners for a walk-off win and the championship. Elizabeth was awarded the game Most Valuable Player.
The Wild finished the Hockomock season with an 11-1 record and outscored opponents an amazing 112-25.  It was the first time that a Wrentham U10 team won the extremely competitive Hock Championship.   Additionally the Wild racked up an overall summer record of 32-4 posting the most victories of any summer team in Wrentham.  In addition to winning the Hockomock Championship, the Wild won the Belligham Bash, Foxboro Summer Classic and was a finalist in the Swansea Summer Slam.
The Wild was coached by Kevin Kelliher, Anthony Masserone, Ken Durant , Jay Cooke and Tim Gorman.
